GOLD for Andrin Schnydrig - 60kg

BRONZE for Rahul Bose - 73kg

The Budokwai was represented at this event by Andrin and Rahul. In the -60kg category Andrin had only two competitors. In his first fight he scored with several throws before finishing it off with a Morote Seoinage. He also dominated throughout his second fight and won by Ippon for another Morote Seoinage, securing the gold medal.

Rahul fought in the -73kg category with 8 competitors. After winning his first fight by Ippon for Morote Seoinage he faced Jan Gosiewski from Team Bath in the semi-final. Rahul managed to score a Yuko with a leg grab early in the fight. However, after a failed Kouchi Gari attempt, Rahul landed on his knees and was promptly strangled by Jan. Jan went onto win the finals. In his fight for the bronze medal Rahul scored a Yuko with a footsweep and ended the fight with a strangle.
