MINI & MIDI JUDO- CLASS & TERM TIMES

Mini and Midi classes work as an introduction to the spirit of judo for boys and girls aged 5-7 years. They are designed to teach children the basic elements, discipline and co-ordination of judo within a fun packed 40 minute class.

JUDO GAMES are pre-Mini Judo classes for children who are 4 years.

MINI classes are pre-judo classes that are designed for children between the ages of 5 years.

MIDI classes are designed for children between the ages of 6-7+ years.

Each course runs on a termly basis, three times per year in spring, summer and autumn. Fees stand at £110 per term.

Classes are held at the following times in both the large and small dojos (rooms):

Summer Term:

Autumn Term:

Sign Up Procedure for Mini and Midi Enrollment 2013

*All existing children, i.e. all those children enrolled in this Summer term will have priority until Saturday 8th June, to sign back into the class that they are in now.

* If your child is changing class due to age or wish, the completed form with payment, will be processed from Monday 10th June. Any forms left with us prior to the 10th June will be processed at random on the day.

*All children who are going to be 6 years old by the half term 28th October - 2nd November MUST move up to a Midi Class - unless their Instructor feels that they are not ready for it.

*All children who are going to be 8 years old by the half term 28th October - 2nd November MUST NOT re-enroll back into their Midi Class, but take out a Junior Judo membership with the Budokwai, at the start of the Summer term.

* SMALL DOJO - We try and place all new children in the small dojo classes. If your child has been in the small dojo for a couple of terms you might like to move them up to the LARGE DOJO mini classes at 16:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, for more experience.

*JUDO GAMES - If your child is in one of the current Judo Games classes but going to turn 5 years old during the Summer term they must move to the Mini Classes.

*Please note that we have to move children up the system as they get older to ensure they progress up through the British Judo Association syllabus. They cannot stay in their original class for convenience sake if they need to move.

* All new children (ones who are not in the current term) can enroll from Monday 24th June. This includes siblings of children enrolled already.

*Please check at the time of booking that your child is in the correct class. If you are unsure please speak to the Reception staff who will be happy to advise you.

*Bookings cannot be made without payment. Application forms (obtained from the office) must be completed and returned.

*Once payment has been made there will be no refunds and classes cannot be carried over to the next term. Unfortunately we cannot offer make up classes if your child happens to miss a class.

*Please ensure your child is accompanied at all times before and after the class. We can only be responsible for your child during the class.

*Parents and Guardians of new children to Judo are advised to bring them to view a Mini / Midi class before agreeing to sign up for a term, to ensure it is suitable for the child. We are unable, as stated above, to offer any refunds.
